Hillary Clinton on affirmative action

Hillary Clinton is a strong believer of education and that many students are entitled to higher education. She is also a strong supporter of the No child left behind act that was proposed by President Bush. The No child left behind act made schools accountable of teaching kids and making sure they get the right education so that they can have brighter futures.
Clinton is a supporter of affirmative action and believes that one day this country can be diverse and equal where no one is seen as different. Here is a quote she had made on a decision of affirmative action in Michigan:
“For millions of Americans, affirmative action has knocked down the barriers of the past that prevented them from attending college, law school, serving in the military, or working in our country's leading companies and the small businesses in our hometowns and neighborhoods. When our public places are as diverse as our great nation, then our country grows stronger and we move closer to the America we dream about”

But what you don’t hear a lot of the No child left behind act is that it gives the military the authority to go to schools and look at student’s academic files. If the school refuses to show the files they we be stripped of federal funds so schools have no choice but hand over the files. Once the military has the files they look for kids who are underachievers and try to recruit them that way.
If this is happening where do people think the military are actually going for the files. They are targeting low poverty schools in the inner city where schools don’t have the necessary materials as the richer of better off schools are. Do you really think they would go to schools in Beverly Hills where they have all the school support such as technology, better books, and access to anything?? Lets face it the military would not target these schools. They go to the poorer neighborhoods where schools don’t have a lot of supplies for the students and students end up getting poor grades. Does this sound like its affirmative action where we are suppose to be equal?? What if there was a draft? Who would be the first to go?? Minorities who live in the poor neighborhoods and where school don’t have a lot of money to spend on things. Do not be fooled that Hillary Clinton is a supporter of affirmative action. She supported the No child left behind Act so she agreed to the military having access to students files.

very good insight on how military will enter into poverty schools to become the opportunity.
on NCLB, please let the candidates speak for themselves. All 3 are in favor of changing NCLB. Senator Kennedy is generally credited with having started it, by the way. But then Bush ushered it in with false claims about how he fixed education in Texas.

yes! that was a treasure. and check out the other comment on how it is Bush's brother - or cousin - I always forget which - who is profiting on NCLB textbooks and testing materials.
